As a Medical Sales Representative, you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. The Representative has a responsibility to meet and exceed sales objectives in their assigned geography while in accordance with all applicable company and regulatory standards. The territory sales representative will work to understand and identify customer needs, aligning appropriate resources and all pull-through activities. You will acquire advanced product and disease state knowledge that allows for in-depth engagement with all health care professionals. This role will be based in Regina, in Southern Saskatchewan.

What You’ll Do:

  • Reporting to the Edmonton-Saskatchewan Area Business Manager, you'll collaborate with your territory business partner to create and implement a sales management plan aimed at meeting or surpassing sales goals for your region.
  • You'll promote our range of respiratory products and provide education to our valued customers, thereby contributing to positive outcomes for patients.
  • With your effective communication style, you'll convey product information to physicians, pharmacists, hospital influencers, and allied healthcare professionals by identifying unmet needs and developing solutions to address them.
  • You'll work closely with the sales team, colleagues based at the head office, and key influencers within your District and Regional Business Unit.
  • You'll share insights from the field with your team and head office colleagues to enhance our operations and strengthen our market position.
  • You’ll analyze, plan, and implement activities to drive business success in your area, such as organizing sales events, managing expenses, and investing in ongoing education initiatives.
  • Your natural affinity for people will help you build strong team alliances and customer relationships, fostering collaborative working environments.
  • You'll be responsible for collecting and reporting Adverse Events in line with AstraZeneca's policies and procedures.
  • Depending on the candidate's level and previous experience, there may be an opportunity to include specialist coverage in the role.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 2+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience required; Respiratory experience is preferred.
  • A proven track record in sales, ideally within the pharmaceutical sector, and Respiratory experience is preferred.
  • A degree in Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in building strong relationships within the primary care community. Familiarity with respiratory diseases is a plus, or the ability to quickly learn and understand this therapeutic area.
  • The ability to positively influence and impact others, quickly establish credibility, and cultivate robust business relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational skills paired with strong communication and business acumen.
  • A commitment to fostering a cohesive and collaborative team environment.
  • A willingness and ability to travel as needed.
  • A valid driver's license, with a driving abstract required at the time of acceptance.

Annual base salary for this position ranges from $98,616.80 to $129,434.55 AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.
In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role). Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
