The Medical Receptionist Float - VSP supports CenterWell medical offices by providing excellent front-desk service on a flexible, as-needed basis. This role is responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and performing general administrative duties. The position works variable hours per week, based on clinic needs.

The typical work schedule for a CenterWell Medical Receptionist VSP is up to 40 hours per week. However, as this is a Variable Staffing Pool (VSP) position, actual weekly hours may vary depending on the needs of the clinic.

The Medical Receptionist Float - VSP welcomes patients and offers administrative support within a physician practice or center. This may include the following responsibilities:

  • Greet Patients: Welcome patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone.

  • Schedule Appointments: Manage appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff to improve schedules.

  • Patient Records: Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy. Work in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

  • Billing and Payments: Ensure patient accounts are updated correctly. May include collecting copay at time of visit.

  • Inquiries and Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide general information.

  • Office Management: Ensure the reception area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials.

  • Administrative Support: Help with other administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies, managing office inventory, and sending courier packages.

The Medical Receptionist Float - VSP position will require travel / float to clinics in Middle Tennessee, as far West as Bellevue, North as Clarksville, East as Lebanon, and South as Murfreesboro. Mileage will be reimbursed for all travel.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a strong Customer Service background in Retail Hospitality, Call Centers, etc.
  • Travel / Float to clinics including Middle Tennessee, as far West as Bellevue, North as Clarksville, East as Lebanon, and South as Murfreesboro. Mileage is reimbursed.

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving patient experiences and care
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Value-based care model experience
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Additional Information:
This role is considered patient-facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$38,000 - $45,800 per year
