The European Partnership Markets (EPM) is one of the largest regional businesses in the two European areas and operates as an innovative partnership operating model across 16 markets within Central, Eastern and Southern Europe and the Baltics. We provide medicines and vaccines to over 13.4 million patients in the region, delivering over £200m of business.
The EPM team works with third-party partners in these markets on distribution, regulatory, commercial, market access and medical affairs activities across the whole portfolio – General Medicines, Speciality, Vaccines, and HIV. Our partners directly promote and provide medical support to healthcare professionals. We maintain field medical teams for Oncology and Vaccines.
The PM Team is the interface with the Partners, providing oversight and governance, and ensuring performance and delivery. Working with partners, the team remains accountable for ensuring patients continue to have access to our medicines and vaccines, including new innovation.
As a Medical Manager Vaccines you will lead medical activities for the vaccine portfolio in the EPMs. You will work closely with cross-functional colleagues, external clinical experts, and public health stakeholders. Overall accountable to provide scientific and medical support for the vaccines portfolio in the EPM.
Provide line management for the Medical Advisor Vaccines and oversight of the third-party partner field medical team.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, key clinical experts, public health bodies, and third-party partners.
Contribute medical insights to local and cross-country strategic plans and ensure alignment with global medical strategy.
Deliver balanced, evidence-based medical information to healthcare professionals, Partner and internal teams.
Ensure medical governance and compliance in all scientific engagements and communications.
Act as the EPM area medical expert for vaccines topics.
Line and third-party management.
Plan and deliver non-promotional scientific exchanges, advisory boards, and educational activities.
Gather clinical and market insights to inform medical and commercial strategies.
Support local market access and public health discussions by providing clinical evidence and context.
Collaborate with commercial, regulatory, safety, third parties, and global medical colleagues to deliver integrated plans.
Prepare and review medical materials, scientific responses, and regulatory-compliant content.

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or a relevant life sciences discipline.
At least 3 years’ experience in a medical role within the pharmaceutical or vaccine sector.
Proven experience engaging with healthcare professionals and clinical experts.
Line management experience.
Strong clinical and scientific literacy with the ability to interpret and communicate clinical data clearly.
Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Ability to work collaboratively across functions, third parties and within matrix teams.
Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Advanced clinical degree (for example MD, PhD) or additional postgraduate qualification.
Prior experience in vaccines, immunology, or infectious diseases.
Prior experience in third-party management, governance and oversight.
Experience supporting clinical trials or investigator-initiated research.
Experience interacting with public health bodies or national advisory groups.
Proven project management or team leadership experience.
Strong presentation skills and experience delivering scientific education to diverse audiences.
