An opportunity exists for a Medical Technologist to join our Warde Medical Laboratory in Special Chemistry. This is a full-time, day opportunity and ideal for ASCP-MT or those with a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in biology or Chemistry. Join us and utilize your education and expertise, and help us provide vital knowledge for medical caregivers.
POSITION PURPOSE
Performs various clinical laboratory tests in order to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Analyzes and interprets test results, and ensures accuracy of same. Repeats tests as necessary, especially those yielding abnormal or atypical results, and notifies appropriate personnel of such results. Provides quality patient care considering age specific, developmental, and cultural needs of the patient. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies.
Will be trained on HPLC, Inductively Coupled Plasma-MS (ICP-MS), Vitamin testing, AU480, HIV screening, LCMS/MS, and Manual Testing. Needs to be comfortable with troubleshooting and to be able to work independently.
