8482 ISS Clinical InformaticsThe Medical Informatics Liaison I is an advocate and liaison between practitioners and Information Support Services. Uses knowledge of clinical information systems and practitioner workflow to provide formal classroom training as well as at-the-elbow support during clinical processes. Uses their technical and application expertise to support end user adoption. Establishes positive, professional, and trusting relationships with the practitioners to provide exceptional customer service and promote optimal use of clinical technology.QUALIFICATIONS
License /Certification
Preferred: CPHIMS or CAHIMS
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Required: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows Current Version.
Preferred:
Experience supporting clinical information systems.
Experience working in a clinical setting such as a hospital or clinic with practitioners and clinical staff.
Experience supporting “go live” functions when EMR functionality is rolled out to medical or clinical staff.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Supports practitioners and staff in adoption of the EMR and other electronic tools by reinforcing standardized workflow processes through classroom training and at-the-elbow support.
Assists in curriculum development of new solutions or upgrades to current solutions.
Communicates and coordinates practitioner education with Medical staff Office and other related departments.
Provides excellent customer service.
Assists in the development of departmental policies and procedures for implementation and maintenance of information systems.
Assists in the resolution of operational issues. Maintains issue resolution documentation.
Assists in coordinating resources and time as required in working with project plans.
Writes detailed description of user needs and system functions/user documentation.
Writes test plans and tests systems to evaluate system functions and operating efficiency.
Assists management in developing and implementing cost effective and efficient information system solutions to work flow issues throughout the institution.
Performs on-call support services and direct rounding to ensure best practice use of the EMR and 24/7 support for the hospital.
Ability to work non-standard and extended hours during project implementations.
Works with Clinical Informatics and Applications teams to coordinate training, and assists in the prioritization of change requests and issue resolution.
Provides both formal classroom training and at-the-elbow support training during clinical processes.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.

Pay Range
