Medical Receptionist/Assistant

  • Immediate start in a healthcare organisation based primarily in Macquarie University - Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde

  • full-time, permanent position

  • Salary : $64,910 - $66,571 p.a. plus 12% superannuation with access to salary packaging benefits with Maxxia to maximise your take-home pay.

The Role

The successful candidate will be part of a team that provides exceptional patient experience while assisting the Radiology clinicians to running an efficient and professional practice. A strong commitment to deliver high quality administrative support and patient-centered care is essential for this position

This is a full-time position for 38-hour work week.  The applicant has to be available to work from 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday to Friday.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Assisting patients in person, over the phone, and via emails

  • Managing patient appointments in line with medical imaging requirements

  • Ensuring accurate data entry of patient information into the patient management system

  • Attending to general housekeeping duties in reception and waiting area, including other administrative tasks as required

  • Preserving confidentiality and privacy of all patient information and records

  • Communicating and liaising with other administrative and health professionals

About You

You will possess excellent customer service and communication skills, preferably with a background in medical reception and the confidence to work across multiple systems and screens.  You are a caring individual with professional verbal and written skills.  Previous working experience in an imaging clinic performing reception duties and booking appointments over the phone will be highly regarded.
