Medical Excellence Manager Germany/Switzerland (m/f/d)  

In alignment with Company’s values and Country strategy, the purpose of this role is to strengthen medical operational excellence and performance, to embed innovative strategies and tools as well as ensuring development of the required capabilities with a strong focus on digital/AI. The Medical Excellence Manager will be responsible for overseeing and driving operational excellence and tech readiness within the medical affairs function, developing and implementing strategies to optimize medical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of medical activities within the German and Swiss organization.

This role will need to work across Medical Affairs and other functions to drive efficacy and capability evolution through appropriate initiatives to meet the scientific needs of healthcare professionals and provide scientific support for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

The HIV Medical Excellence Manager in alignment with the strategic priorities of ViiV Germany and Switzerland.

  • Represents the business voice, leverages medical platforms, and supports the implementation and maintenance of Medical Affairs processes and Performance reviews across Germany and Switzerland.
  • Is the coordinator of the digital/AI strategy of Medical, including internal capability planning and training and as well as developing and monitoring the medical Affairs digital performance
  • Serve as LOC medical representative and Champion for Medical Digital/AI projects to support transversal business prioritization exercises (e.g., Business Planning) and ensure follow-up of delivery.
  • Establish and improve effective LOC and HUB communication of medical performance
  • In collaboration with the medical leadership team and the capability lead, identify, coordinate, and/or execute training and roll-out of new excellence/capability strategies for medical teams according to current business needs in a AI/digital environment.
  • Monitor and develop Medical KPIs & metrics

Qualifications & Skills 

  • Graduate in Medicine/ Pharmacy/ Biology
  • Experience in Pharma and/or Medical Dept, with an innovative and a scientific-driven mentality.
  • Proactivity and ability to think creatively and competency to initiate and manage medical projects. Good understanding of business metrics.
  • Solution-oriented working style under consideration of medical governance and Code of Promotion and Scientific Engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communications skills. Ability to develop relationships based upon trust and mutual respect.
  • Presentation skills and ability to present scientific data in a compelling and credible manner.
  • Advanced English level and fluent in German
  • Strong can do mindest and independent way of working

Preferred Qualifications & Skills 

  • Experience and competencies in Digital Projects. Open to innovation and willing to drive digital/AI change.
  • Drive change with innovative ways of working and support the team to grow within a changing organization. Combine with a resilient approach to do what is right for the patient and our mission
  • Ensure data driven decision making and evolution of digital fluency is well reflected within the team and the organization
