As a Medical Education Associate, Grants and Donations Coordinator on Stryker’s Professional Education team, you will elevate your career and make a meaningful impact at our organization as you take responsibility for managing the grant and donation application and review process. 

What you will do: 

The grants and donations coordinator plays a pivotal role in our organization by managing the grant application and review process, ensuring compliance with our grant guidelines, and fostering effective collaboration across various departments.  This role involves presenting grant and donations requests, vetting applications, and maintaining essential databases, among other responsibilities.   

  • Grant presentation: Present grant requests at the weekly Grant and Donations Committee meeting, effectively communicating the purpose and impact of each proposal.

  • Vetting and Review:  Thoroughly vet grant requests to ensure that all required data is included. Review applications for accuracy and completeness and provide feedback as necessary.

  • Organization analysis:  Conduct research on the applying organization to ensure alignment with our mission and values.

  • Grants and donations database maintenance: Maintain the Grant database, ensuring all documentation is archived for each request and recording of required outcomes.

  • Budget management: Work closely with internal stakeholders to align on budget allocation prior to the review process. 

  • Budget reconciliation:  Work closely with applying organizations following the completion of their program to ensure that budget reconciliation is completed.

  • Cross-functional collaboration:  Work closely with various teams and departments, including Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and other stakeholders, to ensure that grant-related activities align with the organization's goals and guidelines

  • Basic understanding of marketing/sales-related event coordination 

  • Basic product and procedural knowledge 

  • Basic understanding of the competitive landscape  

  • General understanding of key customer groups 

  • Basic understanding of educational program design 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication 

  • Support the coordination of Medical Education courses and programs 

  • Gather data and information from Medical Education programs 

  • Understand our medical education and business strategy 

  • Understand our budgeting process 

  • Understand training and Medical Education workstreams 

  

What you need 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 

  • MS Office Suite experience

Preferred:

  • Marketing or Communications degree

  • Knowledge of legal and compliance for grant funding

  • Experience in grant management or a related field

$59,900- $108,300 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
