Location: Staines / Manchester / London / Hybrid/Remote
12 Month Fixed term contract

You’ll work within a close-knit team of Medical Directors, bringing your clinical expertise to guide high‑impact decisions that affect millions of our members. The role offers a unique blend of medical leadership, commercial influence and hands-on involvement in how modern healthcare policies, clinical pathways and provider relationships are shaped in the private healthcare sector.
• Provide clinical expertise to ensure we deliver safe, high‑quality, compliant care.
• Lead and oversee clinically related initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with industry leaders and regulators.
• Act as a thought leader supporting Bupa’s clinical reputation.
• Lead and support clinical and medical director colleagues.
• Support policy development and review.
• Participate in the on-call Medical Director rota.
• Support analytics and healthcare management teams.
• Manage consultant and provider relationships.
• Support clinical governance investigations.
• Represent Bupa externally.
• Support CQC-regulated clinical nursing teams.
• A Medical Doctor with current GMC licence.
• Minimum seven years’ post‑graduate experience.
• Broad clinical experience and commercial awareness.
• Experience managing complex projects.
• Deep knowledge of the UK healthcare market and regulation.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise and manage workload.
• Commitment to CPD and leadership growth.
