ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant II to join their team at
a new multispecialty practice in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
This brand-new location will have an array of specialties including:
Neurology, Pulmonary, Cardiology, Oncology, Endocrinology and more.
The Medical Assistant II is responsible for assisting physicians in the examination and treatment of patients with virtual and on-site appointments. To deliver quality patient care and to perform other clinical and clerical duties within the practice.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday: 8:00a-4:30p
Cross coverage at other practices as needed
Duties / Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients virtually and in person.
Prepare patients for visits, including taking vitals and rooming.
Perform point-of-care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs.
Assist clinicians during exams and procedures.
Prepare and maintain exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies.
Update EMR with test results and documentation.
Handle patient callbacks and relay provider instructions.
Sterilize medical equipment per state guidelines.
Schedule tests, procedures, and surgeries to ensure continuity of care.
Perform quality control on POCT equipment.
Support patients with video visits and portal enrollment.
Manage prior authorizations, referrals, and medication refills.
Complete chart audits and prep during downtime.
Adhere to safety protocols and report hazards promptly.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:
High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or
Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years’ experience is preferred

Hourly Pay Range: $19.84 - $29.76This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
