Job Description
The Oncology Medical Advisor holds primary responsibility for the development and execution of Medical Affairs strategic plans within Morocco. This role is expected to involve up to 50% of time dedicated to external engagements with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include cross-functional strategy collaboration and execution, building trust with the medical and scientific community, facilitating peer-to-peer medical and scientific exchange, and providing support for asset issue resolution.
Consolidates actionable medical insights to inform company strategies specific to oncology.
Translates Global Medical Goals and Strategies into local tactics and solutions that support optimal scientific exchange, aimed at improving patient outcomes and enhancing access to oncology treatments.
Supports the execution of tactical plans and adapts them to local business realities in Morocco.
Provides non-promotional, balanced, and reliable scientific information in accordance with company standards and local regulations.
Brings insights from the local oncology scientific and healthcare environment to the Regional Medical Affairs team.
Communicates scientific and business needs effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
Builds trust with the external scientific community through peer-to-peer scientific exchange, research collaborations, and interactions with scientific societies and health organizations.
Provides therapeutic and functional training to assigned teams and affiliate functions.
Develops and executes country-specific medical educational programs and symposia focused on oncology.
Leads country advisory boards and group input forums to gather insights and feedback.
Participates in and contributes to professional organizations and academic/regulatory working teams relevant to oncology.
Collaborates and leads the resolution of regulatory, public relations, compliance, and other asset issues specific to oncology products.
Supports the resolution of asset safety or quality issues, contributing to regulatory responses and risk management planning.
Provides access support as needed, including , pre-license patient access, and reimbursement dossiers.
Provides prompt medical information support, including answering medical inquiries related to oncology.
Demonstrates a commitment to fostering an environment of belonging, inclusion, equity, and empowerment within the organization.
Leads by example and serves as a role model for creating, leading, and retaining a diverse and inclusive workforce.
MD, PhD, or PharmD with a focus on oncology or related fields.
A minimum of 2-3 years of medical affairs/ clinical and/or research experience in oncology or a relevant disease area.
English, French and Arabic language skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation skills.
Familiarity with local pharmaceutical industry guidelines, regulatory/reimbursement frameworks, and clinical research guidelines .
Strong prioritization skills and the ability to understand how decisions fit into the broader context of corporate strategies.
Demonstrated ability to develop a network of scientific leaders and key stakeholders, including public groups, government officials, and medical professional organizations.
Proven ability to effectively communicate information at the country management level.
Ability to collaborate effectively across functions in a matrix environment.
