L.L.Bean is seeking a Media Operations Specialist to join our team of creative professionals who are responsible for the coordination and preparation of merchandise and props for photography, video, and advertising projects across all Marketing content. In this role you will serve as a product expert, collaborating closely with stylists and producers.

This position requires strong organizational skills, flawless attention to detail, and the ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels of the company. You will manage deadlines, collaborate extensively throughout production, assess product sample availability, and ensure consistent communication with stakeholders.

This role requires 5 days in the office at our Freeport-based Headquarters. Travel involves 2-4 trips annually for up to 10 days per trip.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage the Merchandise style out (MSO), Pre-Style and Walk-thru meetings. Function as a product specialist during the pre-style.

  • Accountable for accuracy and integrity of the product data throughout the project which includes creation, execution, and attribution.

  • Manage the samples, props, and data for assigned project through completion of the project, this may include traveling to the studio/location.

  • Maintain an organized sample room with seasonally current inventory to ensure accuracy.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures.

  • Adapt to changing timelines and deliverables.

  • Remain current with relevant software, product knowledge, merchandising information, and Creative business strategies.

  • Core Channel Responsibilities:

    • Location (Photography, Video & Advertising)

      • Attend the scheduling meeting with Art Director, Photographer, Stylist and Producer to organize workflow. 

      • Set up and organize crew rooms, coordinate samples and props, prep samples, set up shots & manage merchandise. 

      • Function as product specialist on set to make sure specific shots are appropriately propped and product is being used accurately. 

      • May be needed to drive a rented vehicle including trucks and panel vans. 

      • Travel - including extended periods of time out of state or across the country. 

    • Studio (Photography, Video & Advertising)

      • Prep and organize daily shot racks by model.

      • Deliver image asset codes to studio producer.

      • Manage the daily shots to ensure accuracy.

      • Coordinating the flow of outfits to set

    • Attribution (Manage the metadata as it relates to the selected images and upload to DAM (Digital Asset Management System) (Media Bank)

      • Maintain accuracy of product information in the base code, by adding or removing product information as needed for each selected image.

      • Adhere to scheduled deadlines (3 working business days).

      • High volume workload.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience required

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Able to balance multiple tasks, prioritize and successfully meet deadlines

  • Work effectively with minimal supervision

  • Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proven pro-active problem-solver

  • Strong collaborator – able to work well with a team

  • Creative professional who would effectively represent L.L.Bean

  • Valid Class C driver's license

  • Commit to extended travel and time away from home if necessary

  • Passion for retail, outdoor, creative design and/or product a plus
