Our Team
As WBD Sports portfolio continues to grow – around the world and across platforms – the Global Technology & Operations team is building media technology and IT systems that meet the world class standard for which WBD is known. ET&O builds, implements and maintains the business systems and technology that are critical for delivering WBD’s products, while articulating the long-term technology strategy that will enable WBD’s growing pay-tv, digital terrestrial, free-to-air and online services to reach more audiences on more platforms.
From Amsterdam to Singapore and from satellite and broadcast operations to SAP, we are driving WBD forward on the leading edge of technology.
You will mainly be involved on WBD Sports. The channels are currently in a new technology platform in Europe based on a hybrid architecture on premise and cloud.
The London and Paris team manage the engineering and support level 3 for this new group working with two playout centres and all Eurosport the markets in Europe.

Your new role
We are looking for a Media infrastructure engineer with a passion for solving complex challenges in the broadcast and media landscape with experience in broadcast technologies and software systems. For this role you will focus on designing and implementing sophisticated workflows, middleware integrations, and software solutions tailored to the unique needs of content creators, broadcasters, and media asset managers (MAMs). You'll play a key role in transforming metadata, supporting transmission and digital platforms, and building APIs to bridge systems—all while working in fast-paced, agile environments.
Key responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, flexible broadcast and media workflows.
Create tools for metadata transformation, normalization, and mapping across platforms.
Develop and integrate APIs for media platforms, MAMs, and third-party systems.
Collaborate with large global, distributed teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
Work in Agile environments, delivering production-ready code to tight deadlines.
Contribute to software architecture discussions and advocate for best practices in design and development.
Interface with internal stakeholders and external partners to align technical solutions with business goals.
Required skills and experience
Proven experience in broadcast/media technology, including workflow design and system integration.
Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar).
Deep understanding of metadata schemas, transformation techniques, and MAM systems.
Experience of working with APIs.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across remote and cross-functional teams.
Experience with cloud-based media workflows (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of broadcast standards (e.g., IMF, MXF, BXF).
Exposure to media asset management platforms such (e.g. Grass Valley, Premiere, Vantage)
