Role Description

As a Media Analyst, you’ll execute marketing programs across a variety of brands and businesses.  Working at both the account and brand level to implement and activate digital media campaigns: inclusive of building segments, forecasting and booking media placements, building media recommendations and assist in crafting insights based on media campaign performance.  You will provide a high level of customer service to partner teams/clients with effective communication, timely responses to requests, and proactive resolution of potential issues.  With support and guidance from your leader you will build various client or sales deliverables; such as proposals, media approaches, and audience strategies. You will be tasked with understanding and staying up to date on industry trends both in the retails and digital advertising landscape.  

Responsibilities

  • Lead Media Strategy Development

Lead the development and execution of full-funnel, omnichannel media strategies across digital (Display, Video, Social, Search, Programmatic), traditional (TV, DOOH,) and emerging platforms (Retail Media, CTV, Audio Streaming).

Drive alignment of media strategy with brand objectives, audience intent, seasonal plans, and go-to-market priorities across internal and external teams.

Oversee day-to-day media execution, managing timelines, ensuring adherence to creative specs, blocking charts, and media plan changes.

  • Audience Analysis & Segmentation
    Identify and segment target audiences by leveraging behavioral, psychographic, and media consumption data to inform precise and efficient media plans.

  • Insight-Driven Planning
    Define success metrics and partner with insights, analytics, and measurement teams to drive deeper performance insights and optimization strategies.Translate campaign data into clear, actionable insights under guidance.

  • Strategic Recommendations & Media Innovation
    Provide well-informed perspectives and data-backed recommendations on media strategy, tactical execution, and channel selection. Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging platforms to identify innovative opportunities.

  • Identify potential opportunities for pre-campaign incremental, campaign extensions, or new channel add-ons, based on client briefs and historical performance.

  • Client & Brand Consulting
    Act as a trusted advisor to client teams by deeply understanding the brand, category landscape, and business priorities. Ensure alignment across stakeholders and consistently deliver high-impact media solutions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    Collaborate with creative, analytics, tech, operations, and external partners (publishers, platforms, agencies) to build integrated, multi-channel media plans.

  • Media Tools & Reporting Expertise
    Analyze campaign performance using media tools and ad servers such as DFP, DCM, Facebook Ads Manager, DBM (Display & Video 360), Pinterest, Operative One, and YieldEx. Translate reporting into actionable insights.

  • Budget & Resource Management
    Support media budget planning, allocation, and optimization to ensure efficient use of spend across channels. Monitor pacing and resolve discrepancies.

  • Process Improvement & Best Practices
    Identify gaps in planning and operational processes. Proactively develop scalable solutions, templates, and documentation to improve team efficiency and campaign outcomes.

  • US Hours Availability
    Be available to work during U.S. Central Standard Time (CST) during key campaign periods or based on business needs.

About You

  • You bring 3–7 years of experience in digital marketing, media planning, campaign analytics, or media execution.

  • You have a deep understanding of the display advertising ecosystem, including hands-on experience with ad networks (e.g., GDN, Tribal Fusion, OpenX, ValueClick), ad servers (Google Ad Suite, OpenX), and rich media vendors (Pointroll, Sizmek, DoubleClick, Medialets).

  • You are well-versed in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest) and have exposure to RTB/programmatic buying tools such as DBM, TTD, MediaMath, AppNexus, and MoPub.

  • You demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities and exhibit creativity when making recommendations and optimizing campaign performance.

  • You possess excellent sales and communication skills, enabling you to clearly convey media strategies and performance insights to both internal teams and clients.

  • You have proven experience in client management, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met with a focus on responsiveness, clarity, and trust.

  • You exhibit solid project management skills, balancing multiple campaigns and deliverables while meeting tight deadlines.

  • You understand performance marketing principles and are able to translate business goals into data-driven media plans.

  • You have a strong grasp of ad product offerings, media KPIs, and audience segmentation strategies.

  • You can perform creative and content reviews and collaborate with internal and client-side creative teams to ensure brand and messaging consistency.

  • You bring a solid understanding of client business models and category-level nuances, enabling strategic recommendations tailored to specific industries.

  • You are comfortable navigating and leveraging a range of ad tech stacks, platforms, and tools to execute and optimize media campaigns.

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and industry-standard media tools; experience with ad servers such as DFP, DCM, Sizmek, and order management tools like Prisma and Operative is essential.

  • You have strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to derive insights from performance data and drive continuous optimization.
