What you'll do:
As a Medical Lab Scientist for our Cellular Therapy Lab, you will conduct testing and processing of biological specimens that are used to treat cancer patients. These specimens provide the biological material for patient transplant of diseased bone marrow, or the creation of patient specific vaccines specifically developed to treat a patient's cancer. You will play a vital role in supporting patient care by performing accurate and timely laboratory testing used in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Testing domains include waived, moderate, and high‑complexity procedures. Conducts and documents established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; evaluates the results of quality control testing and implements corrective action according to established protocols to ensure the accuracy and quality of patient testing. Participates in the validation of laboratory methods and procedures to meet the changing health care needs of our patients. Required: Experience with waived, moderate, and high‑complexity testing in a clinical laboratory setting—through education or hands‑on work experience.
What you'll need for this job:
Education (Required) Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following:
Medical Laboratory Science Program
Medical Technologist
Biology
Chemistry
Preferred: ASCP‑certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent. Other acceptable certifications: ASCP or HEW

Compensation:
Salary Range: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
