Mechatronic Engineer

About the role :

We are looking for a Mechatronics Engineer to join our high-tech engineering team, where you will streamline assembly of our semiconductor equipment at our ITEC Malaysia production facilities.

What you will do :

  • You are responsible for the design and development of mechatronic modules of industrial manufacturing equipment, as well as its control system

  • Develop solutions to improve equipment performance and resolve performance issues

  • Support the integration of mechatronic modules in industrial manufacturing equipment

  • Work closely with customers to define requirements and study their feasibility

  • Conduct pre-studies (calculations, modeling, experiments, measurements) and risk assessments to verify concepts and adjust the global design if necessary

  • Work in a multi-disciplinary technical team to execute development activities to meet system performance requirements, including designing, functional modelling, prototyping, testing and release

  • Support customers & field service engineers in equipment optimization, problem-solving and troubleshooting activities

  • Conduct component, module & system failure analysis & implement corrective actions on customer complaints

What you will need :

  • University degree MSc/BSc in Mechatronics Engineering

  • Experience with control systems (tuning, diagnostics, measurement)

  • At least 5 years’ experience in the Semiconductors/Electronics/RFID/LED industrial equipment industry

  • Experience using MATLAB and/or Python for data analysis

  • High level knowledge of DFM, FMEA, Six Sigma, 8D methods

  • Excellent technical troubleshooting, decision-making and creative-thinking skills

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to deliver results through determination and teamwork

  • Excellent communication skills in English

  • Flexibility to travel overseas and to Hong Kong and The Netherlands
