KBR is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to assist our customer in addressing facilities needs and requirements in compliance with local, state, and Federal statutes and regulations as well as Congressional mandates. Note, seat will be in Bethesda, MD. Responsibilities will include (McLean, VA) as well (occasional visits to that location).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Reports: Draft, edit, and coordinate technical reports, presentations, and other deliverables in support of ODNI requirements, Congressional mandates, and other briefings or requirements.
  • Facility Proposals: Develop, cost estimates, facility technical proposals, statements of work, change requirements and project schedules for various facility projects.
  • Project Schedules: Review customer requirements, attend customer O&M project meetings, and provide feedback on new construction projects
  • Mechanical Assistance: Assist with Data calls related to Mechanical work
  • Work Orders: Coordinate facility work order and provide survey coordination for routine mechanical surveys
  • Operating Plans: Work with vendors to draft updates to the Facilities operating plan for the site

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
  • Working Hours: Standard

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with a polygraph
  • Education: BA degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience: Twelve (12) years of experience in mechanical engineering and/or facility management
  • HVAC Experience: Hands-on, working knowledge of Heating Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, plant maintenance, cooling towers, building controls, and life and safety requirements in commercial/government facilities.
  • Construction Experience: Reading and interpreting construction technical design drawings and schematics.
  • Outages/Support: Able to support occasional after-hour site outages both planned and unplanned

Preferred Qualifications:
One or more of the following certifications:
• Certified Plant Maintenance Manager (CPMM)
• Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP)
• Professional Engineer (PE)
• Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM)
• Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Chiller and cooling tower operation certification

Basic Compensation:

$186,800 - $280,200

This range is for the Maryland area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
