Mechanical/Electrical Manufacturing Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior)

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B)  is hiring a Mid-Level or Senior Mechanical/Electrical Manufacturing Engineer supporting our Executive Transport and Surveillance Team in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will be the main Manufacturing Engineering interface with our key electrical suppliers and assist in electrical design and installation drawings and planning work instructions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review engineering requirements and drawings and provide manufacturability and producibility feedback
  • Investigates technical problems
  • Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies
  • Interfaces with IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience
  • Establish make / buy plans to fabricate or purchase aircraft electrical components and wire bundles
  • Author and Update Electrical Installations and Modifications Shop Floor Work Instructions
  • Position may require domestic travel up to 25% of the time

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience researching and analyzing engineering data
  • Experience with the creation of manufacturing planning and authoring assembly work instructions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience reviewing engineering requirements / drawings and providing manufacturability and producibility feedback
  • Experience with GOLDesp or similar Manufacturing Execution System
  • Experience with WIRS
  • Experience establishing “make / buy” plans to fabricate or purchase aircraft electrical components and wire bundles
  • Experience with Authoring and Updating Electrical Installations and Modifications Shop Floor Work Instructions
  • Top Secret Security Clearance (SAP)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: Mid-Level $84,000 – $114,000

Summary pay range: Senior $112,200 – 151,800
