This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.As a valued member of our passionate and skilled Launch Site One Maintenance Team within Test Operations, you will play a key role in the preparation, operation, and maintenance of facilities and flight vehicles for the New Shepard space flight program. You’ll contribute directly to human and payload launch operations, supporting all phases from vehicle processing to recovery, and ensuring safe, successful missions.

Key Responsibilities:
Test Facility Construction, Operation & Maintenance:
Fabricate and route pressurization and propellant tubing and lines
General maintenance and troubleshooting of fluid and mechanical systems
Operate test facilities, handle propellant offloading, and address system leaks or faults
Integrate and check out test articles and instrumentation (including wire harnesses)
Review, update, and rigorously follow test procedures
Integration & Operations:
Support all phases of launch and recovery, working closely with engineers on design, development, and improvement of hardware and systems
Plan, communicate, and execute complex assembly steps for mechanical and ground support equipment
Safely work around hazardous chemicals and high-pressure systems, following strict 5S and FOD procedures
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute ideas and methods to drive greater safety, efficiency, and quality in maintenance and test procedures
Basic Qualifications
3+ years' experience in fluids testing, vehicle or facility operations, or related mechanical/aerospace environments (rocket/jet engine test experience strongly preferred)
Experience supporting test, flight, and safety-critical hardware
Proficient with standard mechanical tools and fabrication equipment
Hands-on experience with pneumatic, low/high pressure, and propellant handling systems
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs, work in challenging conditions, and climb stairs/ladders as required
Graduate of a 2-year technical/vocational program in a mechanical discipline or A&P licensed or military technical training
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years’ hands-on experience in propulsion system support, facility operations, launch operations, or aerospace ground support
Familiarity with rocket propellants (LH2, LOX, LN2, LHe) and launch facility cryogenics
Experience with integration/testing of rocket or crew capsule systems, including launch and recovery operations
Proficiency using 3D CAD tools (CREO preferred)
Skilled in tube fabrication (bend, flare, fitting, proof/testing) and understanding of pressurized system safety
MIG/TIG or orbital welding experience a plus
Experience operating cranes, forklifts, and heavy equipment around flight hardware
Ability to recommend and implement process improvements for maintenance, integration, and testing

Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
