Initiates, coordinates, directs, and schedules site personnel to ensure project objectives are met.
Coordinate a multi-trade workforce to execute maintenance tasks, project work, and support plant shutdowns
Ensure project controls are in place to accurately measure progress against a schedule
Ensure workers follow procedures, remain engaged, and execute quality work
Assist in estimating requirements of future projects
Manage equipment requirements for each project or task
Manage multi-platform labour arrangements from unionized workers to open shop
Partake and occasionally lead incident investigations as required
Assist in preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical subcontracts.
Implements and manages the Bird Safety Program; performs regular hazard analysis and toolbox meetings.
10+ years experience in the maintenance industry working with contractors with relevant work experience in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems
Experience with industrial and process mechanical, electrical and controls considered an asset.
Effectively provide overall supervision, coordination and scheduling of construction activities and consistently complete projects on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction.
Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality, and administration.
A strong leader and problem-solver, you are able to build and steward trust with clients, subcontractors, and team members to effect competitive excellence and pride in teamwork with outstanding project delivery.
