Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems that keep the facility running smoothly — including equipment, building systems, and exterior grounds.
At automated sites, maintain and troubleshoot components such as proximity switches, sensors, pressure switches, push buttons, and related testing equipment.
Inspect and perform basic repairs on refrigeration systems.
Complete preventative maintenance on material handling equipment according to manufacturer and company guidelines to ensure safe, reliable operation.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, evaluations, and maintenance activities, and communicate updates to leadership daily.
Assist with additional maintenance projects and tasks as needed.
Safely operate power tools, cutting torches, and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Use motorized lifts and other equipment to inspect, maintain, and repair systems throughout the facility.
At least 1 year of experience (or equivalent trade school training) in one or more of the following areas: building maintenance, material handling equipment, or refrigeration (ammonia, Freon, and/or CO2).
Ability to perform preventative maintenance with minimal supervision.
Proficient in using hand and power tools.
Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting and communication.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Comfortable communicating with team members and leadership at all levels.
Able to work in cold storage (as low as -20°F / -25°C) or dry storage (up to 100°F / 37°C) environments while wearing provided PPE and freezer gear.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg); heavier lifting may be required depending on the site.
Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends when needed.
Comfortable working in environments with varying noise levels.
Some locations may require working at heights and following all associated safety procedures.
