Major Duties:

  • You will ensure reliability and accuracy to Mechanical Engineering-related problems in the assigned program areas.
  • You will evaluate program planning documents, and develops program plans, activities, and schedules to ensure successful program performance.
  • You will prepare and defend program plans to develop funding requirements and life cycle cost profiles, and tracks and manages financial performance for assigned programs.
  • You will coordinate with prime contractor representative to develop contract segment Statements of Work aligned with the organization's objectives.
  • You will assemble and provide information and advice regarding assigned program areas to senior officials in the chain of command.
  • You will make decisions that resolve and alleviate ambiguous problems, while operating within SSP objectives for budget, schedule, and contractual constraints.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating ship system designs, coordinating technical requirements, and supporting system development or testing to ensure systems meet performance, safety and nuclear safety requirements.
