Mechanical Engineer

You will join a team dedicated to bringing Apollo to market at scale, tackling the complex challenges like safety, commercialization, and mass production to change the world for the better.

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development and testing of our Apollo humanoid robots. This role is well-suited for early-career engineers who are eager to apply engineering fundamentals, learn industry best practices, and grow through hands-on product development experience.

In this role, you will work under the guidance of senior and staff engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams—including electrical, software, manufacturing, quality, and operations—to help deliver products that meet performance, reliability, cost, safety, and manufacturability requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies
  • Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
  • Support prototyping, build activities, and engineering tests
  • Perform basic mechanical analysis and calculations under guidance
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles
  • Assist with verification, validation, and reliability testing
  • Support investigation and resolution of test, manufacturing, and field issues
  • Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback
  • Support production builds and engineering change activities (ECO/ECN)
  • Follow established engineering processes, best practices, and documentation standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in a related mechanical engineering role
  • Foundational knowledge in mechanical design, CAD, and engineering documentation
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes, prototyping, and production support
  • Basic understanding of mechanical analysis, testing, and reliability principles
  • Familiarity with materials selection, GD&T, and tolerance fundamentals
  • Awareness of electromechanical, thermal, or fluid systems is a plus
  • Cost-conscious mindset with exposure to value engineering concepts
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
