Position Overview:
Fellow is seeking a motivated Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Co-op to join our fast-growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and development of our award-winning products, working alongside experienced engineers and product designers. The co-op will gain hands-on experience across various stages of the product development cycle, from concept to production. This position is based in our San Francisco office.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with the mechanical or electrical design of products, contributing to various stages from early concept to launch.
- Support iterative prototyping to validate concepts functionally and assist with product-level decisions or user testing.
- Help develop and drive design and functional validation testing for mechanical and/or electrical components.
- Perform root cause analysis of complex electromechanical hardware system failures.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks or OnShape preferred for Mechanical; relevant electrical design software for Electrical) is a plus.
- Hands-on prototyping experience is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a fast-paced product development environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Mechatronics experience strongly preferred including selecting, qualifying and integrating sensors, actuators, valves, etc..
Compensation:
- $25 per hour (45 hours per week maximum)
