Mechanical Designer

As a Mechanical Designer a typical day might include the following:  

• Under close technical supervision, makes design changes and prepare Mechanical CAD deliverables.
• Coordinate changes to existing designs.
• Assist engineers in completing projects of varying complexity.
• Create, update, and maintain project documentation such as BOMs, drawings, and Excel file.
• Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to demonstrate basic knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD drafting
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel at a functional level to support engineering documentation and analysis.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to further develop technical knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Engineering Tech/CAD Tech degree or equivalent
• Experience participating on project teams
• 2 year experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Pay Range Data

Mechanical Designer $30.29 - $44.76. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
