GENERAL SUMMARY
Plan, prepare and check configuration changes to drawings and databases for functional, physical, and administrative changes to structures, systems, and components (SSCs) using manual methods, CADD and other software applications involving a high degree of difficulty and complexity. Assignments may have clearly specified objectives or may require the investigation of options, development of original concepts or the adaptation of standard SSC design configurations to new situations to solve design problems. Configuration changes must conform to design requirements, specifications, design criteria and standards and procedures. Utilize primarily computer aided design and engineering/design drafting techniques. Ensures all work assignments adheres to budgets and schedules.

Engineering employees are expected to be available and to support the following activities as a condition of employment with Energy Northwest:
1. Emergency Response Organization (ERO) including being on-call (24/7) during your required team.
2. Rotating extended hour work shifts during outages as part of our overall Outage support (24/7) including Outage Command Center and Engineering Outage Center.
3. Engineering duty cycle support (24/7) including call-out availability during your responsible duty assignment (This is a shared responsibility across all engineering positions).
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Designer V
Requires an Associate’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university 8 years of highly technical design experience sufficient to provide support of plant systems, structures, component documentation, design, and controlling standards and regulations; OR a high school diploma or GED and 10 years of highly technical design experience sufficient to provide support of plant systems, structures, component documentation, design, and controlling standards and regulations.
Designer IV
Requires an Associate’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university and 7 years of related experience in plant systems, structure and component design, documentation, and controlling standards and regulations OR a High School Diploma/GED and 9 years of related experience in nuclear plant systems, structure and component design, documentation, and controlling standards and regulations.
Designer III
Requires an Associate’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university and 5 years of related experience in plant systems, structure and component design, documentation, and controlling standards and regulations OR a High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of related experience in nuclear plant systems, structure and component design, documentation, and controlling standards and regulations.
Pay Range:
Designer V Salary: $106,670 - $160,006
Midpoint: $133,338
Designer IV Salary: $92,750 - $139,124
Midpoint: $115,937
Designer III Salary: $80,704 - $121,056
Midpoint: $100,880
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
Incentive Compensation
This role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
