As an Assembly Operations II, you will help build industrial equipment that customers rely on to keep production moving. You will work on-site in Whitewater, Wisconsin, at Coperion, a Hillenbrand company. We design and build process equipment, including feeders that measure and move material into manufacturing systems with accuracy and consistency. Your work supports safe operations, steady output, and long-term growth by helping us deliver dependable equipment that performs the right way, every day.

Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Assemble feeder equipment, parts, and subassemblies by following work instructions, drawings, routings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Use common hand tools and power tools safely, including torque tools and pneumatic tools, when required.
- Fit, align, and fasten components to specification, and check that parts, orientation, and build sequence match the instructions.
- Complete basic in-process quality checks, such as visual checks, simple functional checks, and torque verification when required.
- Record work completed, parts used, and quality checks on required paperwork or in systems to support traceability.
- Spot issues like missing parts, damaged materials, or out-of-spec conditions, and follow site steps to tag, separate, and report concerns.
- Keep your workstation clean, organized, and safe by following personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, housekeeping expectations, and 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).

- You will work side-by-side with other manufacturing associates to keep work flowing safely, share information, and help each other succeed in a respectful, inclusive environment. Your attention to quality and teamwork helps Coperion meet customer needs and supports Hillenbrand’s broader results.
THE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED:
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production work, or vocational training that prepares you for hands-on mechanical assembly.
- Ability to follow written work instructions, pictures, and basic drawings with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools, and learn site-specific fixtures, gauges, and torque methods.
- Ability to perform repetitive work with consistent quality, and maintain a steady pace while meeting standards.
- Ability to recognize problems, use good judgment, and escalate issues through the right process.
- Ability to complete basic documentation for builds, inspections, and material tracking.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing and walking for long periods, bending, reaching, and lifting or moving parts with or without assistance.
