We are looking for a Mechanic to join our team in Allschwil!

Thanks to their specialist knowledge, mechanics are the main point of contact for other departments regarding production equipment, supporting them with their requests. They work in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs), GxP guidelines and relevant occupational health and safety regulations. They develop improvement suggestions and communicate proactively and in a solution-oriented manner.
The mechanic is responsible for the timely conversion and adjustment of machines, as well as providing technical support for operations during order execution. They are responsible for ensuring that machines are maintained, calibrated and repaired promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Independent work in accordance with applicable SOPs, GxP guidelines, and compliance with applicable safety regulations.

  • Responsibility for all his technical and administrative activities and functions; especially for timely setups, maintenance/calibrations, and repairs of machines and equipment.

  • Continuous monitoring of the condition of machines, facilities, and tools.

  • Research for possible improvements of the machine park and its handling.

  • Support of the entire Facilities & Engineering Department.

  • Conducting training and education of employees as needed.

  • Timely provision of reports and other information.

  • Close cooperation with all involved persons, groups, and departments with the aim of continuously increasing the satisfaction of the various departments.

  • Handling action items that fall within the scope of activities.

  • Ordering spare parts.

  • Timely processing of maintenance orders in the maintenance software.

  • Willingness to pursue further education if needed.

  • Work is primarily performed in a normal workspace; occasional exposure to -22°C environments may occur.

Minimum requirements

  • Comprehensive completed technical education (mechatronics, polymer or precision mechanics, electronics).

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in technical operations or manufacturing.

  • Experience in the production of pharmaceutical packaging for clinical trial samples and in GMP-regulated environment.

  • Knowledge and understanding of technical systems as well as corresponding SOPs within the area of work.

  • Very good German skills (spoken and written); good English skills (spoken and written).

  • Confident user of computer systems and software; strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Proven ability to understand technical details and resolve issues promptly.

  • Demonstrated independence, reliability, and strong service orientation.

  • High teamwork capability and organizational talent.

  • Willingness to learn and to work in shifts.
