Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service (MES) has an opening for a Mechanic to Senior Mechanic to join the Technical and Environmental Services Group at the BWI Marshall Airport field office. Responsibilities include performing installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment used for a variety of projects at BWI and Martin State Airports as well as other MES operated facilities throughout the state.Estimated Pay Range:
Mechanic: $50,233.92 - $69,070.88
Senior Mechanic: $55,256.40 - $75,978.12

Minimum Requirements:
Both position require graduation from a standard high school diploma or possession of a GED equivalency certificate. Additional requirements include:
Mechanic: Three (3) years of experience performing installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Senior Mechanic: Five (5) years of experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Note: Formal training from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field of study may be substituted for experience for up to three (3) years of the required work experience.
Applicants must be able to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance and must be able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical. The position will require the ability to perform confined space entry and lift 50 pounds.
Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
