Measurement Technician I

Our Measurement Technician I will assist in the maintenance and calibration of regulating and measuring equipment including electronic instrumentation used to monitor gas quality and assist in the maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments and sampling systems.  

This position will be located at our Richfield or Cedar City, UT location.

What you will do:

  • Assist with installing, maintaining, and calibrating meters, regulators, odorizers, and electronic and gas equipment.
  • Assist in commissioning large industrial meter and regulator stations.
  • Maintain and calibrate pressure recording and measurement devices.
  • Produces calibration and other miscellaneous reports.
  • While developing in this role, will be expected to become knowledgeable of the operation and maintenance of gas regulating and measurement equipment and electronics pertaining to gas measurement and monitoring equipment

Who you are:

You have:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic Computer knowledge.
  • Basic Math Skills.
  • Ability to use small hand tools and testing equipment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, bend, squat and spend time out in inclement weather for long periods of time.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Clean Driving record.
  • Ability to pass DOT drug testing.
  • Basic electrical trouble shooting.

Working Conditions:

On call, occasional overtime, nights, weekends, and out of town, depending on business need. Travel 25-50% Outdoors 90% Office Work 10%

Licenses, Certifications, Qualifications or Standards:

  • Safety critical position subject to random drug testing. 
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record that will be verified upon hire
  • Ability to obtain Operator Qualifications within first year of employment.

For Internal Use Only: The Enbridge title for this position is MC&C Technician I and it is associated with an E320 salary grade.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: 

Grasping, kneeling, bending, crawling, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
