Position Information:
Position Title: Spare Parts Lead – Middle East
Department: Operations / Field Support
Reports to: Services Field Lead ME
Location: Middle East Region
Purpose of the Role:
The Spare Parts Lead ME is responsible for ensuring the availability, control, and efficient use of spare parts and materials required for Maintenance (O) and Repairs (T) activities across the Middle East region. The primary objective of the role is to reduce and optimize material spending, improve demand planning accuracy, and standardize operational practices throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Control and Optimization of Material Spending:
· Analyze material consumption for O and T to identify deviations, savings opportunities, and usage patterns.
· Implement cost-control initiatives aimed at reducing cost per unit and per contract.
· Monitor KPIs related to inventory, consumption, and efficiency, proposing corrective actions.
· Technical Support and Support to Delegations:
· Assist regional delegations in the proper identification of materials, spare parts, and kits.
· Provide technical guidance on part alternatives, compatibility, and obsolete or replacement materials.
· Train local teams on best practices for spare parts management.
Demand Planning:
· Coordinate with delegations and Supply Chain to prepare the regional Demand Plan.
· Review forecasts based on historical data, backlog, and technical campaigns.
Coordination with Supply Chain:
· Align O and T needs with the services provided by external warehouses, logistics operators, and transport providers.
· Collaborate in defining optimal stock levels and storage strategies.
· Contribute to continuous improvement of logistics processes and provider SLAs.
· Standardization and Process Improvement:
· Define and document standard procedures for spare parts management across the ME region.
· Ensure consistent application of processes across all delegations.
· Promote digitization, traceability, and inventory control initiatives.
Required Qualifications
· Engineering degree (preferably Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or related).
· Demonstrable experience in the industry (preferably in vertical transportation or technical industrial sectors).
· Previous experience in supply chain, material planning, or technical support is highly valued.
Skills & Competencies:
· Fluent English in reading, writing, and speaking (advanced level).
· Knowledge of ERP / inventory management systems.
· Strong analytical skills and ability to prepare reports and define action plans.
· Excellent communication and coordination skills.
· Focus on cost control, efficiency, and internal customer service.
Key KPIs
· Percentage reduction in material spending for O and T.
· Demand Plan accuracy rate.
· Compliance with logistics SLAs.
· Level of process standardization across delegations.
· Reduction of urgent / expedited orders.
