MDM Systems Administrator
Overview
Astreya is seeking an experienced MDM Systems Administrator to support enterprise endpoint services for a global client environment. This role is responsible for delivering advanced device configuration, endpoint management, and compliance alignment for non-standard and complex user setups.
The position will partner closely with client IT, Security, and Engineering teams to ensure endpoints are deployed efficiently, securely, and in accordance with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Endpoint Configuration & Deployment
Configure and deploy macOS and Windows endpoints using approved enterprise standards and custom configurations.
Install and validate role-based applications, security tools, and productivity software.
Support complex setups including specialized hardware, peripherals, docking stations, and multi-monitor environments.
Perform quality assurance to ensure devices are fully functional and ready for end-user deployment.
2. Endpoint Management & Compliance
Administer and support MDM/UEM platforms (e.g., Jamf, Intune, Kandji, Workspace ONE).
Ensure endpoints meet security, compliance, and operational requirements including patching, encryption, identity, and monitoring controls.
Collaborate with client stakeholders to maintain and evolve secure baseline configurations.
Identify and escalate configuration exceptions or policy gaps.
3. Documentation & Standardization
Develop and maintain build documentation, runbooks, and configuration standards.
Translate repeatable custom configurations into scalable, standardized deployment templates.
Maintain accurate records of device builds, configurations, and deviations.
4. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Analyze trends in custom endpoint requests to identify opportunities for automation and standardization.
Reduce manual effort through process optimization and tooling enhancements.
Identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to deployment workflows and service delivery.
Deliverables
Fully configured, production-ready endpoint devices.
Comprehensive documentation and runbooks for supported configurations.
Reporting on build volume, turnaround times, and recurring request patterns.
Recommendations for process improvements, automation, and standardization.
Performance Expectations
Deliver custom builds within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
Support expedited requests for priority and executive-level needs.
Maintain high quality standards with a target of >98% first-pass readiness.
Ensure all documentation remains current and audit-ready.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience supporting macOS and Windows environments in an enterprise setting.
Proven experience with MDM/UEM platforms such as Jamf, Microsoft Intune, Kandji, or Workspace ONE.
Strong understanding of endpoint security, compliance, and enterprise IT controls.
Experience creating technical documentation and process runbooks.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
Engagement & Governance
Operate within Astreya’s service delivery framework supporting client IT operations.
Participate in regular operational reviews, reporting on performance, demand trends, risks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with client and internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Salary Range
$72,960.00 - $115,200.00 USD (Salary)Astreya offers comprehensive benefits to all Regular, Full-Time Employees, including:
