Summary

We are looking for a highly strategic and data-driven Principal to shape the future of HP’s Marketing Development Funds (MDF) and partner business performance. In this role, you will drive the alignment of MDF with Retail priorities and key initiatives such as Fast Lane expansion, while leading the shift toward a simplified, claimless partner experience.

As a subject-matter expert and thought leader, you will be responsible for evolving MDF governance, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Terms & Conditions and Marketing Activities Matrix (MAM), while influencing the way HP goes to market and wins market share through partners.

This role requires a strategic mindset, deep knowledge of partner ecosystems, and the ability to connect data-driven insights with business outcomes.

Job specifics/responsibilities:

  • MDF Strategy & Alignment
    • Support the definition and execution of MDF strategy in alignment with Retail business goals and strategic programs.
    • Drive the evolution toward a seamless, claimless MDF process to enhance partner satisfaction and operational efficiency (Fast Lane)
    • Recommend and monitor investment strategies to maximize ROI and accelerate business growth (MDF Investment Optimizer)
  • Partner Experience & Programs
    • Improve the partner journey by simplifying claiming, validation, and exception management processes.
    • Influence the design of partner programs that unlock speed, agility, and impact in the ecosystem.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Ensure strong governance and compliance frameworks across MDF programs.
    • Contribute to the evolution of Terms & Conditions and the Marketing Activity Matrix (MAM) playbook to keep policies relevant, competitive, and effective
  • Data & Business Performance
    • Develop insights and recommendations through data analysis to measure MDF effectiveness and partner ROI.
    • Provide business performance reporting and influence senior stakeholders with fact-based recommendations.
  • Strategic Influence
    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on MDF and channel go-to-market strategies.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Retail, Operations, and Marketing to drive alignment and execution.
    • Contribute to shaping HP’s future GTM approaches and growth opportunities.

Education (degree) and professional experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field (preferred).

Professional Experience

  • 8–12 years of experience in channel sales, partner marketing, business performance, or operations.
  • Strong expertise in MDF strategy, execution, or governance.
  • Demonstrated success in process transformation and partner experience improvement.
  • Strong data and analytical acumen; able to translate insights into impactful actions.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with ability to work across global, cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of channel go-to-market models and a passion for partner ecosystems.
