The internal McKesson Technology team is at the forefront of driving digital transformation, including the adoption and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver measurable value across the organisation.

We are seeking a Technical AI Enablement Lead who will bridge ideas to technology, partnering with infrastructure, cloud, and data teams to ensure architectural soundness and scalability. This role is critical in turning pilots into operationalised, integrated solutions that deliver real business value.

This role reports directly to the VP, McKesson Technology – AI & Automation.

Basic / Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including 3+ years in AI/automation solution architecture or technical enablement roles.
• Deep expertise in AI and automation technologies, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions.
• Strong architectural skills, with a proven ability to ensure scalability, reliability, and security in AI systems.
• Ability to translate business requirements and ideas into robust technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating with infrastructure, cloud, and data teams to deliver integrated outcomes.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills, able to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record of operationalizing pilots and proof-of-concepts into production-ready solutions.
• Technology stack & tools:

• AI Frameworks/tools: Proficiency with tools such as LangChain and OpenAI.
• Automation Platforms: Experience with automation technologies (e.g., UiPath).
• Programming Languages: Strong knowledge of Python and SQL; ability to work with APIs.
• Cloud Services: Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Modern Practices: Familiarity with MLOps, containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines for deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and modern data architectures.
• Certifications in AI, cloud architecture, or automation technologies.
• Experience working in large, complex, multinational organisations.

• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and data teams to design and deliver scalable AI solutions.
• Ensure architectural soundness, security, and compliance in all AI deployments.
• Translate business ideas and requirements into technical specifications and actionable plans.

Solution Integration

• Lead the transition of AI pilots and prototypes into fully operational, integrated solutions.
• Identify and address technical challenges to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
• Establish best practices for AI solution deployment and lifecycle management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as a technical bridge between business, data, and technology teams.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and technical enablement across the organisation.
• Support the development of a robust AI capability within McKesson Technology.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.  In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

€82,500 - €137,500
