The internal McKesson Technology team is at the forefront of driving digital transformation, including the adoption and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver measurable value across the organisation.

We are seeking an AI Transformation Delivery Lead who will own, plan, direct, and control the delivery pipeline for AI initiatives. This role ensures successful execution of AI programmes, translating strategic opportunities into tangible results. The AI Transformation Delivery Lead will ensure initiatives are scoped, resourced, tracked, and measured for impact, providing the operational backbone that delivers AI value creation with accountability and pace.

This role reports directly to the VP, McKesson Technology – AI & Automation.

Basic/Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including 5+ years in programme management or transformation management roles.
• Demonstrable track record of impactful programme or transformation management, ideally within technology or AI-driven environments (e.g. ML project delivery, data readiness, model deployment).
• Certifications in agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, PMI-ACP) or programme management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
• Strategic thinker with the ability to communicate and influence at both technical team and senior management levels.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with agile delivery methods and frameworks.
• Experience in establishing and tracking KPIs and metrics to measure business impact and value realisation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics projects.
• Experience working in large, complex, multinational organisations.
• Exceptional ability to produce executive-level reporting and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Proven success in managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate integration of AI solutions into business processes.

Key Accountabilities

Programme Delivery

• Lead the execution of AI transformation initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with McKesson’s strategic objectives.
• Define scope, timelines, and resource plans for AI projects, managing dependencies and risks effectively.
• Apply agile methodologies to accelerate delivery and maintain flexibility in dynamic environments.

Performance Tracking

• Establish and track KPIs such as time-to-value, adoption rates, and business impact across AI initiatives
• Provide clear, concise updates and dashboards for senior leadership, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions into business processes.
• Develop strong partnerships with IT leaders and business stakeholders to manage AI transformation risk and opportunity.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.  In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
