General Description:
We are seeking a Matter Mobility Supervisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and contribute to the growth and success of our Firm. The Matter Mobility Supervisor leads the oversight and supervision of the team responsible for digital client data transfers. The Matter Mobility Supervisor will work closely with the Matter Mobility Manager to support the Information Governance Department in data transfers associated with the onboarding and off-boarding of client matters and related data.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise transfer of digital records to and from the Firm repositories, including, but not limited to document management, email, file share and file-sharing systems, maintaining hands-on knowledge of processes to be able to assist the team and be able to perform transfer-related work as volume and demand of work requires.
- Serve as a primary resource, able to answer questions regarding the transfer process and ensure confidence of team as a leader.
- Ensure that team executes strong, client-service focus, effectively and efficiently communicating with various stakeholders, including clients, firm leadership, colleagues at other firms/organizations and in other departments, ensuring collaborative posture.
- Ensure that client requests for transfers or returns are properly and timely processed and that appropriate levels of communication and status reporting are delivered.
- Maintains a strong quality assurance program in relation to data transfers, including appropriate levels of validation, auditing and updates based on standardized processes as well as protocols for applicable changes and flexible solutions to balance risk management and client service.
- Oversee the creation, monitoring and maintenance of detail-oriented policies, processes and procedures related to data transfers, ensuring that processes are clearly communicated to the team.
- Supervise training of team to ensure:
- inbound digital records and metadata are correctly classified and assigned to the appropriate platforms and data management structures.
- outbound digital record transfers are accurately documented and classified into applicable repository for due diligence tracking.
- Responsible for supervising team’s utilization of FTP server technology, security and encryption controls, metadata structure, database reporting and critical system dependencies and helping ensure the best technological options and procedures are used.
- Ensure updating of the Firm’s tracking system, maintaining data integrity.
- Ability to work with various data formats and conversions while also troubleshooting data transfer issues and problem resolution. Includes oversight of consistency across team, with ability to effectively advise when changes to standards are appropriate.
- Leads validation of testing and implementation of new software, process and protocols
- Be a key resource to lead and / or participate in special projects and departmental operations as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- Minimum 5+ years of related working experience.
- Strong knowledge of technical troubleshooting, including familiarity with file systems & formats.
- Required knowledge of legal software and other applications/systems (e.g., document management, service ticketing and workflow, Windows Office Suite, Windows Server).
- Superior knowledge of best practices for managing and transferring large datasets.
- Knowledge of data privacy and methods to keep data secure, such as encryption, MFA, etc.
- Knowledge and hands-on familiarity with Windows File Share Administration as well as Active Directory.
- Experience with server and/or desktop virtualization technologies.
- Functional understanding of security principles (e.g., firewall rules, file access rights, etc.).
- Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Information Governance principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
- Law firm familiarity a strong plus.

- Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act, the pay range for this position in Colorado is $90,000.00 - $136,000.00/yr. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
