In order to support the Composite Technologies department Airbus Operations GmbH is looking for a
As part of the "Bonding, Compatibility & Repairs" department you will join the Team of Materials, Processes and Tests. Structural bonded assembly methods are a significant step towards efficient aircraft design, and our team is dedicated to developing robust, sustainable bonding and repair solutions. We are looking for highly engaged engineers to drive the future of these technologies in a highly interdisciplinary and international environment.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Develop, qualify, and deploy robust materials and associated processes for bonded repairs of metallic, composite, and hybrid airframe structures.
Lead international research and development project teams involving material suppliers, universities, and research institutes.
Deploy new bonded repair technologies throughout the Airbus supply chain.
Manage material obsolescence and ensure fulfillment of REACH-related requirements.
Manage a powerful stakeholder network including design offices, manufacturing, customer service, procurement, and supply chain quality.
Coordinate subcontracted work packages and collaborate with external research centers.
Work within a diverse, international, and agile team environment.
Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Profound knowledge of bonding/bonded repair technology, key process parameters, and surface characterization techniques.
Experience in project management.
Motivation to collaborate with universities and research institutes, and coordinate subcontracted work packages.
Ability to lead and influence in an international, interdisciplinary, and potentially remote environment.
Strong delivery-oriented mindset with the ability to exceed customer expectations.
Negotiation level in English.
Willingness to travel (up to 25% of working time).
