Material Scheduler (18 Month FTC/Secondment)

You will support site operations by planning and scheduling materials to meet production needs. You will work closely with production schedulers, planners, procurement, and warehouse teams. Your role will ensure materials arrive on time, in full, and meet quality standards. We value clear communicators who think practically, solve problems, and build trusting working relationships.

In this role you will…

  • Create and maintain accurate material schedules across a 0-12 week horizon to support production plans.
  • Monitor stock levels and trigger replenishment actions to prevent supply disruption.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders in SAP and update material status to reflect lead times and receipts.
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, quality, and production to resolve shortages and change requests.
  • Track and report material performance metrics and escalate risks or delays to stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement activities to simplify processes and improve on-time material availability.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Experience in materials scheduling, planning or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on use of SAP or equivalent ERP systems for ordering, inventory and scheduling.
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail to manage stock levels and order timing.
  • Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and supply partners.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to act quickly under pressure.
  • Right to work and able to be on-site as required; this secondment is on-site or hybrid depending on site needs.

Preferred Qualification

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practice (GMP) and quality systems.
  • Familiarity with planning concepts such as safety stock, lead time, and demand smoothing.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introductions or launch activities.
  • Proficiency with Excel and data analysis to monitor trends and present findings.
  • Previous exposure to inventory cycle counts, stock reconciliations and variance investigations.
