Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) for their AIM-9X program to be located onsite in Tucson, Arizona. This individual contributor role is a great opportunity for someone looking to work directly with the supply base. This role requires knowledge of the material requirements planning (MRP) process with practical knowledge of project and material management. 

 

In this role, you utilize your knowledge of manufacturing, material requirements planning and business acumen within a matrixed organization to lead an MPM team.  You will develop and execute a material program strategy/plan for a program or integrated product team. 

 

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization and company. You will have the opportunity to lead the production MPM team, resolve issues and conflict resolution. 

 

What You Will Do: 

  • Overall supply chain ownership of production suppliers 

  • Develop and execute strategies to perform and meet the Program’s needs 

  • Lead robust and challenging schedule conflicts to meet the Program objectives  

  • Provide accurate forecasting and realization of sales and additional financial metrics 

  • Commit to obtaining MPM certification after experience in the role 

 

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience 

  • Experience with supply chain and forecasting

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. 

 

Qualifications We Prefer: 

  • Professional experience with Project, Program, Product, Finance and/or Supplier Management 

  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and Power point)  

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an IPT environment. 

  • Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management 

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to the many tasks that they will be required to perform

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
