Role Summary:
As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for quoting, estimating, planning, and scheduling repair activities to meet customer requirements and deadlines. This role involves close coordination with internal teams across engineering, purchasing, sales, and operations to ensure orders are executed efficiently and customer expectations are met. You will play a key role in managing end-to-end order processes, from quotation to delivery, while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and quality throughout all activities.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit cost estimates, As Found Reports, and As Built Reports in a timely manner to the sales team and/or customers.
Provide detailed repair quotations for customer equipment and aftermarket requests.
Review customer specifications and documentation to ensure compliance with Flowserve’s technical and commercial standards.
Check and process customer orders, including item identification, pricing, delivery schedules, and customer specifications.
Determine delivery timelines after performing inventory checks and coordinating with purchasing and suppliers.
Manage end-to-end order execution in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and adherence to process requirements.
Request supplier quotations, raise purchase orders, and follow up on deliveries.
Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules, reconcile orders, and update internal stakeholders accordingly.
Respond promptly to customer and internal queries, providing updates on order status and handling expedite requests.
Support warehouse operations as required, including incoming goods inspection, packaging, and shipping.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or department.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder coordination.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Basic knowledge of mechanical seals, pumps, and rotating equipment.
Experience working within an industrial or engineering environment.
Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Ability to manage complex contexts, including material availability and capacity planning.
Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic work environments.
