What we need
Symbotic is seeking a Material Handler who will support all facets of warehouse operations, including material handling, shipping, and receiving. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of materials throughout the facility. The Material Handler will perform daily operational tasks, collaborate with team members, and ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures. This position requires a hands-on approach and attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of orders.
What we do
The Warehouse team within the Service Center of Excellence is responsible for service, repair, testing, evaluation, and field support. They manage shipping, receiving, and material handling for material in Symbotic's Plant City, FL repair center. They primarily focus is on supporting repair and service material needs to support customer service requirements. The warehouse team collaborates closely with other departments to support shipping/receiving needs and to ensure material movement transactions are accurate.
What you'll do
Manually pick small parts and sub-assemblies to support repair operations and customer orders.
Execute bin-to-bin transfers using SAP S/4 Hana EWM.
Ensure work accuracy and compliance with production, repair, quality, and safety standards.
Process UPS shipping transactions for RMA materials and parts needing repair.
Handle SAP fulfillment and receiving transactions, including Customer Sales Orders, Stock Transfer Orders (STO), and Inbound RMA Sales Orders.
Complete Inbound Deliveries for RMA Sales Order transactions.
Track KPIs and transactions using SAP reporting and MS Excel.
Safely transport materials to the correct warehouse locations.
Maintain proper replenishment in SAP using a handheld RF device.
Stack and rotate merchandise (FIFO) to refill stock and pallet slots.
Load pallets into trailers and operate forklifts/pallet jacks to maneuver materials, including in warehouse racks up to 46 feet high.
Load/unload mobile robots (bots) using pallet jacks and forklifts.
Prepare bots for shipment by capturing serial numbers and wrapping containers.
Support repair operations by handling bot materials.
Manage SAP transactions for RMA and repaired bots.
Coordinate bot shipments with the logistics team.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
What you'll need
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control and logistics, materials handling, storage layout, and shipping and receiving.
Enhanced knowledge of SAP or other warehouse management systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift and move materials safely.
Commitment to safety and operational procedures.
Eager to show initiative, drive productivity, maintenance quality.
Excellent safety record.
Our Environment
There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure. You may be required to routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.
You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground.
Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
AT times you may be at a construction site with PPE required (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection (e.g., safety harness).
Frequent ability to safely and efficiently lift items weighing up to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs.
Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. Where you may need to be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $20.19 - $28.03 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
