The Receiving Material Handler will receive and inspect incoming material and inspect all shipments to ensure that they are received complete from the vendor. They will also store, pick and prepare material for shipments to Mexico.
Main Receiving responsibilities:
Accurately receive all inbound shipments from freight carriers.
Note and report any shipment damages or discrepancies
Open and inspect all inbound cartons and pallets and verify contents vs packing lists.
Note and report any discrepancies to the Receiving Team Leader
Store all Inbound material
Pick material for orders bound to Mexico
Loading and unloading trucks following safety rules
Participate in 5s activities, maintaining work area safe, clean and in order.
Comply with all corporate and site-specific safety regulations
Qualifications
High school diploma / GED required
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience of similar warehouse environments, preferably within a twin plant maquiladora framework
Able to lift up to 50lbs
Forklift certification preferred, able to use a standup forklift a plus
Knowledge and experience with import and export functions
Flexible work schedule. Willing to work weekends to cover special events/situations
Able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months.
