ABOUT THE ROLE
Trojan battery is looking for a Material Handler (2nd shift) to join our company. You will be responsible for finding material on shelves, pulling materials off the trucks and putting them in their proper storage spot, wrapping products and making them ready for shipment. As the Material Handler, you will need to be an effective problem solver and team player. If you are ready to get charged in your career, Trojan Battery company is looking for you.


THE DAY-TO-DAY     

  • Distribution of activities that are conducted in accordance with International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001 while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Timely and efficient movement of materials to and from the production line to facilitate an efficient manufacturing process.
  • Assure material movement and inventory changes are appropriately and precisely tracked.
  • Operate machinery and perform minor adjustments or setup.
  • Utilize RF scanner to maintain accurate inventory transfers from/to warehouse and/or manufacturing plant and to record number of units of material moved or handled during shift.
  • Complete reports or inspection sheets as instructed.
  • Stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions (Adherence to FIFO Policies and Protocols).
  • Complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of measure, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Ability to use hand and/or power tools, such as (hammers, cutting saws, nail gun, etc.)
  • Identify different products and attached identifying tags or label to materials or mark information on pallets.
  • Successfully complete power equipment certification.
  • Follow and maintain Lead activities and 5S.
  • Stage multiple orders for shipment according to appropriate loading patterns, weight distribution, method of shipment, etc.
  • Coordinate, process, and ship hazardous waste, scrap, etc., in accordance with regulatory requirements. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma, GED or greater required.
  • Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
  • Basic Math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
