Job Description

Position Objective:

To provide shipping, receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and data entry services for finished goods, inventory, and equipment at the assigned facility(s).

Work Shift

Monday thru Friday

9:00 am to 5:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
  • Receive materials and/or finished goods daily, verifying the quality, type, and quantity of materials received, and ensuring appropriate documentation (e.g., packing list) is present.
  • Safely operate distribution equipment as required.
  • Complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements and operate within all ISO standards related to site Distribution, including Control of Documents and Quality Policy.
  • Follow required Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) practices and complete related training.
  • Respond to customer service and other external department inquiries regarding order requirements and/or fulfillment issues.
  • Operate RF Scanner for transactions.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Some experience in logistics with a life science company preferred.
  • Proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures, instructions, and meet schedules.
  • Proficiency in operating powered industrial trucks and competence in using the equipment at different elevations.

Working Conditions:

  • Works in a warehouse environment, performing highly repetitive tasks.
  • Will walk, stand, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs on a continuous basis.
  • Will routinely push and pull up to 25 lbs and regularly climb.
  • May occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
  • Must be available to work any shift (with advance notice of shift change) and be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed.
  • The nature of the working environment can lead to varying degrees of stress throughout the day.
  • The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job optimally.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $13.82–$20.73.
