Material Handler

Job Summary:

A Material Handler pulls and verifies materials and supplies on production orders.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling and placing materials and supplies in stockroom
• Pick and package all materials for work orders, back orders and counter service
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading and securing products
• Monitors inventory and communicate any shortage
• Operate forklift and other material handling equipment
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Support all counting activies in the stockroom
• Support all special projects deemed necessary by the supervisor

 

Qualifications: 

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Forklift Certification strongly preferred
• Prior stockroom experience helpful
• Ability to work from parts list
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must work quickly and efficiently
• Must work well under pressure and as part of a team

 

Salary Range: $17-18/Hr
