JOB DESCRIPTION
The Material Coordinator will manage the flow of supplies, overseeing inventory, ordering, storage, and timely delivery to production or project sites, ensuring operations run smoothly and preventing shortages by coordinating with teams and vendors, often using inventory software to track materials. They are crucial for supply chain efficiency, handling tasks like managing stock levels, processing purchase orders, coordinating logistics, and resolving material-related issues.
Material Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Monitoring stock, tracking usage, and ensuring accurate records.
- Procurement: Placing orders, following up on deliveries, and managing vendor communication.
- Logistics: Organizing storage, preparing materials for delivery, and coordinating transportation.
- Coordination: Liaising with production, purchasing, and other departments to meet material needs.
- Documentation: Maintaining records, completing paperwork, and handling purchase order information.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Supply Chain Preferred with 2+ Years Materials Coordination in a production environment, Automotive a plus
- Experience with ERP and Microsoft Excel
- Strong Data Analysis
- Able to work Nights and Weekend Shifts
