Titel
New multi-dimensional optics calibration method
Category
Computer Science, Programming, Imaging and Optics
Scope
2 students completing a Master thesis, 30 hp each
Background
Axis typically procures optics and imaging sensors, assembling them in our proprietary alignment machines. This assembly process, combined with the internal tolerances of the optics, necessitates precise calibration of the zoom and focus motors. To maintain a compact physical size, suppliers often incorporate additional zoom motors, which significantly increases the time and complexity of the current optics calibration algorithm.
We propose a new algorithm that calculates the interdependence of the motors and uses this information to determine calibration values for each motor.
Goal
Develop the proposed new optics calibration algorithm:
Requirements
Experience with Python, optics and math
