Master Scheduler

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this ambitious role, you will develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on forecasts, customer demand, inventory targets, and capacity. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with production, procurement, sales, engineering, and quality teams to ensure schedule feasibility and alignment. Analyzing capacity constraints and proactively identifying scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks will be crucial to your success.

Your role will involve monitoring actual production performance against the plan and making adjustments as needed to meet our customer requirements. You will maintain core planning parameters, such as lead times, lot sizes, and safety stock. Coordinating closely with procurement to ensure materials align with planned production is essential. Additionally, you will generate and distribute schedule reports, important metrics, and updates to cross-functional partners. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives tied to scheduling, planning accuracy, and supply chain efficiency will be a key part of your responsibilities.

YOU HAVE:

Academic Background in:

  • Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted)

Experience in or with:

  • Planning or scheduling production within a manufacturing setting

  • ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor)

  • Cross-functional collaboration within operations, supply chain, or manufacturing teams

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication

Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands:

  • Capacity to operate on-site within a manufacturing setting

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk in production areas as needed

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting

  • Ability to analyze data and convert insights into actionable plans

Pay Transparency
 
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
Compensation Range:

$62,900.00 - $116,900.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
