Summary: 

In this role, you will facilitate a cadence to manage planning rules and assumptions considered in the supply plan and will oversee and influence the supply plan to ensure efficient and optimized operational output. You will translate Demand signals into a workable and attainable Supply Plan to meet Company goals (Service, Cost & Speed). This role will work cross-functionally throughout the organization with the BU’s, Planning, Operations, Engineering, Supply Network Planning, and Finance. 

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Facilitate crisp and concise meeting interactions that are effective at defining the capacity assumptions; and serve as focal to monitor the WC loading and drive mitigation with Operations and Schedulers for any significant overloaded work areas (overtime; additional capability activity). 

  • Navigate & manipulate data using SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) software; develop constrained plan within IBP to be used for translation of the supply plan into SAP ECC. Focus of process is 18 months forward in time. 

  • Drive mitigation for unresolvable capacity constraints (ie: headcount / equipment / raw material) & drive action item closure with cross functional stakeholders (Ops, Engineering, Procurement, Commodity Mgmt, Product Mgmt) 

  • Facilitate crisp and concise meeting interactions that are effective at defining the constraints, identifying root cause, identifying mitigation needed, and telling the story accurately. 

  • Serve as the ‘Go To’ person for the site related to inquiries from Sales/Marketing regarding and driving closure to any needed additional capacity for new business opportunities 

  • Develop & maintain relevant performance metrics; create and drive appropriate action plans to manage performance to them; 

  • On Time Service, Plan vs. Actual, Projected Volumes (SVOP) 

  • Understand root causes related to deltas; drive cross functional alignment and collaboration across the entire site for metric performance/operational excellence 

  • Exception msg metrics for site; compile volume of messages, work w/planners to understand root causes related to top contributors; escalation as needed; drive MRP signal integrity improvement as needed. 

  • Manages Trade-offs across planners to improve performance and capacity utilization. 

  • Works with planners to make Product Family schedule assumptions and SAP parameters to support; document assumptions in ETQ where unable to reflect in SAP; and regularly validate them (2-3 times per year). 

  • Lead Cycle Stock Optimization with MFG and ENGR and work with Planners to optimize Cycle Stock settings to ensure the resulting quantity and timing for requisitions are accurate and the production schedule is feasible. 

  • Develop and revise relevant SOP's, Work Instructions and Process Maps as required; 

  • Site process SIPOC (supplier, inputs, Process, outputs, customer) 

  • Coach and lead planners related to MRP signal integrity, planning, scheduling and materials management Best Known/Industry Standard Methods, planning metrics improvement; 

  • Maintain the integrity of the Master Data in SAP. 

  • Lead cross-functional teams for Continuous Improvement Process initiatives; 

  • Serve as focal person for any supply continuity risk for the site; providing status; driving resolution. 

 

Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Physical Requirements): 

  • 4-5+ years' experience as a master scheduler and/or production scheduler in a manufacturing environment. 

  • BS Degree with an emphasis in Operations or Supply Chain Management preferred. 

  • APICS certification is a plus (CPIM or CIRM). 

  • Supply chain management experience, working in a cross-functional environment. 

  • Demonstrated participation in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).

  • Compensation: $68,000 - $90,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
