Master Planner 

Position Summary:

  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
  • 100% on-site

This 206,878 square-foot facility, located in the Philadelphia area is Catalent’s global Center of Excellence for Clinical Supply Packaging.  Catalent offers GMP secondary packaging and clinical labeling services throughout our global network. Packaging can be configured to hold a single product, or multiple products as determined by study requirements. We offer manual patient kit assembly along with semi-automated and automated wallet sealing and high-speed automated carding to meet the needs of studies of all sizes.

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Master Planner.  The Master Planner role is responsible for understanding and evaluating client demand into site production requirements. The Planning team operates in accordance with operation standards and within the Quality Management System. This role works collaboratively across departments to drive executional excellence and to identify and execute continuous improvement projects increasing Planning performance and compliance.

The Role:

  • Accountable for maintaining effective planning and scheduling processes to ensure that site operations are forecasted and positioned for successful execution.
  • Maintain collaboration with the Catalent network regarding Supply and Demand review.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to facilitate long-term planning and decision-making.
  • Build capacity plans, models various delivery scenarios and escalate long-term capacity or equipment challenges
  • Work closely with operational teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand study requirements and timelines.
  • Provide regular updates on supply chain status, manage performance metrics, and identify and drive solutions for any issues or concerns.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulatory guidelines and standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit purposes.
  • Provide training, mentoring and development of direct and indirectly reporting employees

The Candidate:

  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing and demand planning and forecast analysis OR Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing and demand planning and forecast analysis
  • APICS certification is preferred
